Our nation's birthday this year is not as anticipated as past years.
It seemed just like any other school holidays I had.
Guess that's how the story goes;
Everything tend to be of less value as we age each year.
All that was once considered meaningful & exciting has no meaning to it any longer.
Can you believe that till this point of time, I've never heard the full song of our National Day theme song this year?
Alright, I admit I'm a lousy Sinagporean.
Great, & taking a glance out of my window, I see dark dark clouds looming.
So it means that it's gonna rain.
I wonder how they're gonna display the fireworks later =.="
When the long weekend passes, it will be the start of the most crucial part of my Secondary school life.
Still, I ain't doing anything about it;
Living life as though I had just retired from old age & need not work my ass out for success anymore, I-AM-A-FAILURE.
Everything I tried, I strive for, I fight for; was never mine.
& maybe I'm immune to it, or I'm sick & tired of the replicate outcomes that whatever it might be; does not affect me tremendously.
I let the disappointment wash over me, telling myself that it's alright when I very well know in my heart that it wasn't, & would never be.
I want more than just this.
